The slovenly disgusting and continuous blind praise that Black academics heaps upon WEB Dubois is mind-boggling. Even after Dr. Joy James full critique of his suppressing of Ida B Well's historical accomplishments that made her almost an unknown soldier in Africana history (while he became the north star of Black academic radicalism), she and others in the room still comes full circle to making Dubois the unadulterated "brightest mind" in the world. That is ridiculous. Not only does Dubois over-padded resume and position as the key wielding gatekeeper of Blackness blocked the grassroots organizing of Wells-Barnett from receiving the true acknowledgement that it deserves, but it also did the same for giants even greater than she such as Booker T Washington and Marcus Garvey. His so called intellectual genius erases thinkers who grounded themselves with the masses, much like Ida B Wells though not in an activist sense, such as Carter G. Woodson, Arturo Schomburg, and Hubert Henry Harrison. Ida B Wells and all of the individuals above are marked by their great love and devotion to the Black world to the point that they CHOSE the path of obscurity and scorn by whites and their slavish Black talented tenth while imbibing the powerless reciprocating love of the masses of their people. Dubois chose the OPPOSITE. He was an opportunist who lived off the largesse of white people for most of his life while trying to make himself appear to be the grand leader of a people that he barely even liked. He has gone down in history calling dark Black people ugly (Marcus Garvey) and has been involved in organizations that only employed the palest and euro-looking of the race. He literally fought against Black people organizing economically as he was the pillar liberal whites used against Booker T Washington, Marcus Garvey, and all individuals who thought that Blacks could and should survive on their own without white lordship or company. Now he is seen as the person who called for a Black economic plan? Such a JOKE. He helped to keep the UNIA out of Africa while he and his type held lavish "Pan-African Conventions/Conferences" in European cities. He stated that Black Americans would never like living in Africa because it was too hot and then this bastard (literally lol), at the end of his life, flees to liberated Ghana where he lived as a parasite (as he tended to do) off of the generosity of the Ghanaian people. WEB Dubois is the supreme Black chameleon, transforming from a liberal integrationist, to Pan-Africanist, to Communist, to Black nationalist without any seeming contradiction to his weak minded followers. It is a shame that Dubois' faux legacy stands upon the dead bodies of his fallen enemies. He lived long enough to absorb the power and reputations of those who truly did the work that others people now cite as his own. His long life and 'great' mind has done much to harm the Black struggle. But the real question remains...what does it mean when all of this history is known and yet, Black academics still revere this man?

Ms. Ida B. Wells-Barnett also allied with Marcus Garvey, a little known fact.
